Dutch song Teddy Scholten - Een beetje
with lyrics, music, video and English translation songtext

picture garland guirlande symbol of dutch song translated English translation

Your heart should have had a door that could be opened
I could see the inside and the decoration
You had to be true then
Good or bad, but honest
And your answer would be
'Bout your fidelity

A little
We all can fall in love sometimes, you know that
And sometimes we forget to do the right thing
As soon as you hear Cupid whispering, listen
And you know
It will turn out exact as Faust and Gretchen
They'll meet each other in a pub or tavern
And saunter with the shining moon

With fragrances
Of roses and with kissing her goodbye
The night is blue
You whisper mouth to mouth: "I swear my loyalty"

A little
You often fell in love, sir, and you know it
Your heart made up a new idea more often
You felt regret, but you know
You tend to forget the oath you swore
Of fidelity

picture garland guirlande symbol of dutch song translated English translation

But I wouldn't like my heart to have an entrance
'Cause you never know for sure what the inside looks
But I'll give this promise
After our engagement
I will never reply
'Bout my fidelity:
"A little"
