Dutch song Clouseau - Daar gaat ze
with lyrics, music, video and English translation songtext

picture garland guirlande symbol of dutch song translated English translation

She walks by
And this much beauty I did not deserve
She stands still
And this much gracefulness I never saw
When she sleeps
She sometimes strikes my pillow and she talks
I let her
As long as she shares bed sheets just with me

And even guards of our law
Just look friendly when she's parking wrong
And even officers have fun
When she's marching by so sensual
Shameless and proud

En zelfs de hoeders van de wet
Kijken minzaam als ze fout parkeert
En zelfs de flikken hebben pret
Als ze sensueel voorbij marcheert
Ongegeneerd

I do know
There's not much chance that she will stay with me
I do know
She whiles away her time with other men
She does have
Some secrets I don't want to know about
She's floating
And dreaming sometimes, she forgets me then

And even shepherds of the church
Watch her dazzling beauty with benign
The bishop says: "The work of God"
Bows his gray-haired head and thanks the Lord
And one more time
Thank you, my lord

En zelfs de hoeders van de kerk
Kijken minzaam op haar schoonheid neer
De bisschop zegt: “Dit is Gods werk”
Buigt zijn grijze hoofd en dankt de Heer
Nog eens een keer
Dank u, meneer

And even our country's guards
They would rather be in my two shoes
Yes, the premier sees a romance
And he's hoping to change lifes with me
But I'm thinking: no way
Just go to hell

En zelfs de hoeders van dit land
Zouden liever in mijn schoenen staan
Ja, de premier dingt naar haar hand
En biedt mij zijn portefeuille aan
Maar ik denk er niet aan
Loop naar de maan

Clouseau (1984) is a duo from Flanders, Belgium. Clouseau started as pop group, but several members left the band over the years. The current two members are the brothers Koen Wauters (1967), singer, and Kris Wauters (1964), guitar and keyboard. The name Clouseau refers to Inspector Clouseau, a character from the Pink panther movies.

Clouseau is the most successful Flemish band in Flanders. They won three ZAMU Music Awards (1995, 2001 and 2002) and two Music Industry Awards (2007 and 2008). In the Flemish version of the Top 2000, they were registered with more hits than any other band, that was with 32 hits. Every year they give a series of 9 to 14 sold out concerts in stadium Sportpaleis in Antwerp.
