Willeke Alberti (1945) is a Dutch actress and singer. She is the daughter of the famous Amsterdam singer of 'life songs' (levensliederen) Willy Alberti (1926-1985). She sang several duets with her father (like 'No one wants to leave his child alone'), but mainly had a career of her own.
In 1963 she scored a big hit with her single 'Mirror image'/'Spiegelbeeld' (translation from a French song). In 1970 she played the leading role in the television series The little truth/De kleine waarheid and in 1975 she played the title character in the movie Red Sien/Rooie Sien. This last role brought her again a hit, above song 'Again and again'/'Telkens weer' (1975). Another hit, ten years later, was 'Being close'/'Samen zijn' (1987).
She played in over ten films and released over 15 albums. She won an Edison Music Award for her first album (1965), a Golden Harp oeuvre award in 1981 and the Edison oeuvre award 2020.

Friso Wiegersma (1925-2006) was a Dutch painter and writer. He made set decorations for shows of Wim Sonneveld. He later wrote songs for Sonneveld and for other artists, like Leen Jongewaard and Willy Alberti. His two most famous songs are 'The village'/'Het dorp' (1966); and above song 'Again and again'/'Telkens weer' (1975).
Willeke Alberti sang above song 'Telkens weer' (1975) at the end of the movie Red Sien/Rooie Sien (about a girl who entertained in cafes). It was a play, adapted for screen. Friso Wiegersma was asked to write this final song (Ruud Bos wrote the music for the whole film). Willeke Alberti hardly could sing the song without crying (because of her divorce at that time) and it became her personal anthem through her career.
The song is still voted every year into the Top 2000 (traditionally broadcasted on the radio the last week of the year), as high as place 519/2000.
